Music's favorite power couple, Jay-Z and Beyonce, are celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary in Cuba. After a much speculation (including some by us), it's finally been revealed that the two are indeed travelling legally.
Under US Trade Embargo, American citizens have been forbidden from traveling to Cuba as tourists for more than 50 years, except with special permit from the Treasury Department -- which according to sources, Jay and Bey have.
Legal or not, their trip has raised the ire of Florida lawmakers, who govern a large community of Cuban expats and see the trip as implicit support of the Cuban dictatorship. Florida Senator Marco Rubio tweeted his disapproval, drawing attention to the case of a Cuban dissident rapper Angel Yunier Remon Arzuaga, currently on hunger strike in prison.
Whether or not you agree with Rubio's disapproval, one thing is emminently clear: The thirsty Senator knows his hip hop.
