Readers who tried to go on the New York Times website late Tuesday afternoon would have directed to a Syrian web page. The Syrian Electronic Army hacked into the website as well as claiming to have gained access to Twitter's DNS servers. The group supports President Bashar al-Assad whose use of chemical weapons has enraged the international community to the brink of an attack.
The SEA has successfully hacked sites like the Financial Times and CNN in the past. The U.S. military is posed for a strike upon President Obama's order.
