College Campus Assault Cases Paused from Shutdown

  • 10/07/2013 02:19 PM EDT U.S.

University investigations of sexual misconduct cases have been halted across the country since the government shutdown. On-going cases at schools like UNC and the University of Virginia are paused until further notice. The DOE’s Office for Civil Rights has also been forced to cancel a follow-up visit to Yale, whose rape policy has come under fire after a wave of complaints were filed last year.
