Vladimir Padrino López, head of the Venezuelan armed forces’ strategic operations branch, announced Sunday that the country's national guard and police had re-taken the city of San Cristóbal, clearing protesters and other citizens following the recent tide of demonstrations. 11 people were arrested during an operation that involved 250 agents. Padrino López tweeted that the "curfew imposed by terrorism" had been lifted in the city, which sounds like something we petulantly told our parents once in high school.
