Oprah Gets Political At Harvard: Takes Stand On Gun Control, Immigration

Oprah Winfrey spoke to Harvard graduates on Thursday on the day of their commencement and her honorary degree ceremony. The media mogul used her now famous announcement voice to express her excitement to be at the prestigious university and espoused a few of her own political views. She expressed her belief in stronger background checks, gun control that will protect both children and the second amendment as well as citizenship for immigrants.

Her strongest point was that every family should have access to healthy food, shelter and education.  "In the richest nation on Earth, we can afford a basic level of security and opportunity," she said.

Winfrey concluded her remarks by quoting Maya Angelou: "When you learn teach, when you get give".
