Electric Zoo Cancellation After Suspected Role Of MDMA In Deaths
- 09/03/2013 12:44 PM EDT Sci/Tech
The third and last day of the Electric Zoo music festival was cancelled over Labor Day weekend after two attendees died. Their deaths, along with illnesses of four other concert-goers, were related to the drug MDMA known as Molly and found in ecstasy. The rise of electronic dance music (EDM) and recent media attention has brought the chemical into the spotlight, but it's far from new.
