A plan to require all female Marines to meet the new physical standard by doing three pull-ups has been delayed. Lance Cpl. Ally Beiswanger told NPR that test was delayed in order to do more research and "ensure all female Marines are given the best opportunity to succeed." Currently, the Marine Corps said female Marines have not been able to meet the three pull-ups test - with about 55 percent of women recruits doing less that three at the boot camp.
