New Daily Show Host John Oliver Will Now Mock The News In A British Accent

The Daily Show is swapping one Jon for another this summer: While Stewart, the longtime host, takes a brief hiatus to work on a movie, his chair will be filled by John Oliver

Oliver is no stranger to Comedy Central's late-night programing: he's been the show's "Senior British Correspondent" for 7 years. In fact, his first ever trip from his native Britain to the US was for a guest spot on TDS.

Stewart is taking time off to direct a film, "Rosewater," which he wrote. Stewart's hosted The Daily Show since 1996, and is expected back on September 3rd.
