John Brennan is the new director of the CIA, bringing to an end a drawn-out and much-debated confirmation process.
The final hurdle to Brennan's confirmation was a 13-hour, old-fashioned filibuster led by Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky on Wednesday, March 6. Sen. Paul ended his filibuster when Attorney General Eric Holder responded to concerns that drones could be used to kill American citizens on American soil. That letter is below.
