Emergency crews are scrambling again after a second set of deadly tornadoes and thunderstorms struck the Oklahoma City area in less than two weeks. At least nine people are dead and dozens are injured, according to The Associated Press.
The storm occurred during the Friday evening rush hour, leaving commuters trapped on an interstate. The nine confirmed fatalities include a mother and baby found in a vehicle.
On May 20th, the Oklahoma City suburb of Moore lost 24 people to an EF5 category tornado. Meteorologists claimed that storm was more powerful than an atomic bomb. Watch the video that explains why.
