Using Unique Whistles, Dolphins May Call Each Other By Name

We've long known that dolphins resemble humans in a number of ways: they're intelligent, complex and social creatures. And now, a new study suggests they may call each other by name. In the first months of their lives, each baby dolphin develops his own unique whistle, and it looks like they may use those whistles to refer to one another.
