It's the first ever bipartisan pub crawl. Four US Congressmen, two from each party, one DC watering hole, and the hot-button issue of the country: Obamacare.
The GOP's Adam Kinzinger (R- IL) and Trey Radel (R-FL) met up with Democrats Kyrsten Sinema (D- AZ) and Patrick Murphy (D- FL) earlier this summer -- and managed to get through a conversation on Obama's controversial healthcare overhaul.
We'll see if their conversation helped get us any closer to resolution: tomorrow, House Republicans are set to vote on a stop-gap funding bill that would keep the government from shutting down, at least temporarily, with a provision to defund the Affordable Care Act attached to it. Obama says it's a non-starter; House Speaker Boehner calls Obamacare "a train wreck."
If only we could get them together over a beer.
