Bashar Al-Assad, the President of Syria, is a busy man, running a brutal civil war that's attracted international condemnation and killed over 100,00 people. But that doesn't mean he doesn't have time for #ThrowbackThursday. And as it turns out, Assad is only the latest despot to join our favorite social network.

Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of Chechnya and former warlord known for his human rights abuses loves nothing more than posing with a picture of a dead tiger... underneath a light sepia filter.

Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei has ruled since 1989. He's been only been on Instagram for about a year, but he's still worth a follow.

Gulnara Karimova is not the leader of Uzbekistan; she's the daughter of the repressive president. But she's pretty hated in her own right -- and an avid 'grammer.

And finally, the entire nation of North Korea is on the photo-sharing service.

All of whom you should probably #FollowFriday. Or they might kill you.
