Astronaut Chris Hadfield Returns To Earth As Newly Minted YouTube Star

After 5 months in space, astronaut and internet sensation Chris Hadfield returned home with other members of his crew from the International Space Station. With Hadfield were American Thomas Marshburn and Russian Roman Romanenko. The Soyuz space capsule carrying the astronauts landed safely in Kazakhstan, as planned.

Commander Hadfield enjoyed an unprecedented level of fame for his skillful use of social media - he made frequent videos explaining the ins and outs of living in zero gravity and posted them on YouTube. He also hosted a live chat with William Shatner and ended his mission by singing David Bowie's 1969 classic "Space Oddity."
