Astronaut Alan Shepard's takeoff was delayed for more than three hours when it normally takes 15 minutes. Lying on his back, his breakfast of orange juice and coffee hit him when he told mission control that he couldn't hold it anymore. NASA told him to go for it and shut off the power so he wouldn't get electrocuted. Once in space, modern-day astronauts wear a sort of high-tech diaper for when nature calls.
