The Patriots' tight end Aaron Hernandez was led from his home, with his hands cuffed behind his back, early Wednesday morning -- and now he's been charged with murder.

The body of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd, 27, was found in an industrial park on June 17, just a short distance away from the home of Patriots' tight end Aaron Hernandez. According to reports, Hernandez and Lloyd were friends and had been hanging out the day before Lloyd was found. Cops called the death a homicide. Authorities searched Hernandez' house on Saturday, leaving with dozens of bags of evidence, and have also scoured the area around his property several times.

Last week, rumors surfaced that Hernandez had been charged with obstruction of justice surfaced, but then turned out to be false -- after it was reported that Hernandez had destroyed his cell phone and video surveillance system and had his home professionally cleaned after Lloyd was found.
